Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also head of the Center for Public Policy Research. She has been widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in the legal setting. Her publications are numerous She has also received a number of grants, and has been the winner of numerous awards both national and internationally. She has consulted with various nations and organizations around the world regarding policies and research on children's victimization within the court system. She also serves as a consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of a variety of professional organizations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
